    President of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias arrives in Armenia on Monday for a two-day official visit.

    According to the draft programme of his visit, President Christofias will be welcomed at Yerevan Airport by Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian.

    He will then meet with Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of all Armenians Karekin II and later on the official welcoming ceremony will be held at the Presidential Palace, after which President Christofias will meet with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

    The two Presidents will hold official talks, after which they will give a joint press conference.

    On Monday evening, Sargsyan will be hosting a state dinner in honour of President Christofias and Elsie Christofias.

    On Tuesday, President Christofias will have a working breakfast with Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan and in the afternoon the official farewell ceremony will be held at the Presidential Palace.

    During his stay, President Christofias is also expected to meet with Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan and visit the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts and the Memorial to the Victims of the Armenian Genocide.

    In the framework of the official visit, Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcos Kyprianou will be meeting with his Armenian counterpart.
