[01] FM - ROMANIA - OFFICIAL VISIT
Foreign Minister Markos Kyprianou will pay Romania an official visit on
June 9th. During his visit there, he will be received by Prime Minister
of Romania Emil Boc and hold consultations with his Romanian
counterpart Cristian Diaconescu.
According to an official press release, main issues of discussion will
be bilateral relations, Turkeys EU accession negotiations and other EU
issues, such as the forthcoming EU Presidency of Sweden, the Lisbon
Treaty, the Union for the Mediterranean, as well as regional and
international issues of mutual concern. The Cypriot Foreign Minister
will also brief the Romanian officials on the recent developments
regarding the Cyprus issue.
