[01] CYPRUS - GUINEA BISSAU
A document to establish diplomatic relations between Cyprus and Guinea
Bissau was signed in New York by the Permanent Representative to the
UN, Ambassador Andreas Mavroyiannis and the Permanent Representative of
Guinea-Bissau, Ambassador Alfredo Lopes Cabral.
According to an official press release, both Ambassadors expressed
their joy that the establishment of diplomatic relations is putting
into practice the process of strengthening the relations and friendly
ties between the two countries.
The two countries expressed mutual conviction that the establishment of
diplomatic relations meets the national interests of both states and
will help in consolidating international peace and security and
peaceful coexistence.
