Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos does not have a problem to meet
with Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat, as long as the
preconditions set out by the 8th July Agreement will be met, Government
Spokesman Christodoulos Pashiardes has said, noting that such a meeting
will not take place just for the sake of creating impressions.
Asked if President Papadopoulos will meet with Talat in the framework
of the Forum for Security Cooperation of the Organisation for Security
and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), currently chaired by Cyprus,
Pashiardes said that the President will meet with the Turkish Cypriot
leader according to the provisions of the 8th July agreement.
