The ultimate solution of the Cyprus problem is associated with the
reunification of the country, the people, the institutions and the
economy, pledged Deputy Minister to the President and Government
Spokesman Christodoulos Pashiardis, after accepting a resolution of the
Morphou Municipal Council and the Morphou Organisations.
He said that President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos is working
consistently and responsibly towards this kind of a solution.
On his part, Mayor of Morphou Charalambos Pittas said that the people
of Morphou want a more active involvement on the part of the permanent
members of the Security Council in order to take all necessary measures
to lift the illegality and the occupation of Cyprus northern third,
including Morphou.
Pashiardis pointed out that the Cyprus problem is not solely a Morphou,
Famagusta, Kyrenia or Karpasia issue.
The ultimate solution of the Cyprus problem is associated with the
reunification of the country and the people, the reunification of the
institutions and the economy. I want to assure you that the President
of the Republic is working for this form a solution, consistently and
responsibly, the spokesman said.
