Lehtomaki stopped over in Cyprus on their way to the Middle East.
The two boarded a French military helicopter for Beirut, for talks with
Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and members of the Lebanese government.
The two officials representing the EU (Finland is the current holder of
the six-monthly rotating EU presidency) will return to Larnaca on
Wednesday afternoon, before flying on, the same night, to Tel Aviv with
Cyprus Airways.
The following day, they will have talks with Foreign Minister Tzipi
Livni and Defence Minister Amir Peretz.
