United Nations, Sept 16 (CNA) -- The question of Cyprus is on the agenda of a meeting here today between the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan and Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos, Annan's spokesman Stephane Dujarric has said.

Asked during his daily press briefing if there is an agenda for the meeting, he replied in one word ''Cyprus''.

Lebanese Cypriot abducted in Iraq, says Cyprus Foreign Ministry

Nicosia Sep 16 (CNA) The Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced here Friday that Karapet Jikejian, a Lebanese Cypriot has been abducted in Iraq, stressing that the Ministry is making efforts for his release.

A press release issued today by the Foreign Ministry, notes that Jikejian, whose mother is a Cypriot has dual nationality, Lebanese and Cypriot.
