Weather forecast for Cyprus

Nicosia, Aug 25 (CNA) -- The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

Friday and Saturday: 26/08/2005 to 27/08/2005

Locally partly cloudy in the afternoon. Risk of isolated showers over the mountains on Saturday afternoon. Light moderate west to northwest wind, 3 to 4 BF during night and morning and moderate to fresh southwest to Northwest wind 4 to 5 during afternnon.

State of sea slight to moderate.

Maximum temperatures: 35C inland, 33C over south and east coast, 31C over the west coast and 28C over Prodromos area.

Minimum temperatures: 19C inland, 22C over south ane east coast and 15C over Prodromos area.

Outlook for Sunday and Monday: 28/08/2005 to 29/08/2005

Mainly fine with local cloud during afternoon. Temperature is expected to increase on Monday.

Sea temperature: 28C.
