Cypriot Australians call for withdrawal of Turkey from Cyprus

Nicosia, Jul 18 (CNA) - Greek and Cypriot Australian Committees of Melbourne approved a resolution calling for a solution of the Cyprus problem that will provide for a single Cyprus state with one sovereignty and international personality, and the withdrawal of Turkish occupation troops and Turkish settlers.

The resolution was unanimously approved on Sunday after a march organised by the Justice for Cyprus Coordinating Committee on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus. The march ended at the steps of Victoria's Parliament where the resolution was approved.

Egyptian Petroleum Minister arrives in Cyprus

Larnaca, Jul 18 (CNA) - Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Amin Sameh Samir Fahmi arrived on the island on Monday for a three-day official visit, pledging his commitment to sign a protocol of cooperation with Cyprus.

In statements on his arrival, Fahmi thanked Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism George Lillikas for inviting him and said he is in full agreement for cooperation between the two countries.
