    Cyprus Education Minister visits G/C victim of London bomb blasts

    Nicosia, Jul 13 (CNA) -- Cyprus Education and Culture Minister Pefkios Georgiades visited yesterday in London Royal Free Hospital, Daniel Kolia of Greek Cypriot origin, who was wounded from the terrorist attacks in London.

    Georgiades, who is in London to attend a meeting of EU Education Ministers, under the British EU Presidency, conveyed to Daniel his personal wishes and the wishes of the Cyprus government for speedy recovery.

    London, Jul 13 (CNA) -- British Labour and Conservative MPs have underlined the need of creating preconditions the soonest possible for the resumption of Cyprus talks that will bear fruit and that Britain must contribute towards this direction.

    The MPs were speaking during a gathering last night at the British House of Commons organised by the Cyprus National Federation, as part of a series of events in London to condemn the July 1974 military coup engineered by the junta then ruling Greece against the legitime President of the Cyprus Republic Archbishop Makarios and the Turkish invasion and occupation of Cyprus's northern third.

    Nicosia, Jul 13 (CNA) -- The European Union's huge information truck that travels around Europe in the framework of its anti - discrimination campaign at the workplace, arrives in Cyprus this Saturday.

    The yellow and blue information truck, with the motto ''For Diversity. Against Discrimination'', will make a stop at the coastal town of Limassol on Saturday and will visit Nicosia on Monday.
