UN unofficial talks on UNFICYP mandate wrapped up

United Nations, Jun 9 (CNA) - The unofficial deliberations at the UN Security Council on the UN peacekeeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) were wrapped up today.

After the discussions, talks between the five permanent members of the Security Council began on the relevant resolution, which is expected to be adopted on Monday.

EAC senior officers resign pending deficit investigation

Nicosia, Jun 9 (CNA) - George Georgiades and Andreas Louroutziatis handed in their resignations tonight to Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism George Lillikas from their posts of President and Vice-President of the Cyprus Electricity Authority (EAC) Board of Directors respectively.
