Wind: NW'ly to SW'ly gentle to moderate locally fresh during the day NW'ly to NE'ly light to gentle during the night. State of sea: Slight locally up to moderate during the day becoming smooth to slight overnight. Temperature: Maximum temperatures 28C inland, 26C over south and east coast, 24 C over west coast and 18 C over Prodromos. Minimum temperature 15C inland, 17C over coasts and 9C over Prodromos Outlook for Sunday and Monday: 05/06/2005 - 06/06/2005 The weather will be mainly fine with patchy cloud. ''The Greek Cypriot side had no objection to creating conditions for cooperation and a good climate between the two communities in order to promote the effort for a solution and the reunification of our country,'' the spokesman said, when asked to comment on attempts by the so-called municipality in Rizokarpaso to set up a ''pupils' parliament'' comprising Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot schoolchildren. ''The occupation army upgrades its hardware all the time and I do not consider this a natural development, bearing in mind in particular the latest efforts to resume negotiations for a political settlement. We shall protest to the UN these moves,'' the spokesman said. A resolution, adopted here today by a GUE/NGL meeting, said that the solution must be based on one state, with a single sovereignty, one international personality and citizenship and its independence and territorial integrity secured, comprising two politically equal communities, as provided by the Security Council resolutions. Speaking after a meeting with President Tassos Papadopoulos, he said it is up to the two sides to reach an agreement which, he pointed out, must be mutually acceptable. Commenting on Prendergast's regional tour, he said the senior UN official, in his remarks to the press before leaving, pointed out that the solution must come from the Greek Cypriot and the Turkish Cypriot sides.
