138 Cypriot athletes to participate in 11th GSSE

Nicosia, May 29 (CNA)-- ิhe Cypriot 138-member team that will participate in the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) departed today for Andorra where the 11th GSSE will take place from May 30 until June 4.

The Cypriot athletes, 83 men and 55 women, will be competing in athletics, basketball, table tennis, swimming Tae Kwo ndo, cycling, tennis, Judo, shooting and beach volley.

US Congressman decides not to participate in illegal visit to Cyprus

New York, May 29 (CNA)-- US Congressman of Florida Robert Wexler Co-President of the Turkey Caucus will not participate in a delegation of US Congressmen that will visit Cyprus occupied areas, though an illegal airport in the occupied north.

Wexler decided not to participate in this delegation after he received dozens of letters by Greek Americans living in Florida, who protested against this illegal visit.
