Cypriot President to participate in Luxembourg EU meeting

Nicosia, May 27 (CNA) - Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos departs for Luxembourg on June 3 to meet with Prime Minister of Luxembourg and current EU Council President Jean Claude Juncker.

This will be a preparatory meeting for the European Council to be held on June 16 and 17, under the Luxembourg Presidency, in Brussels.

Cypriot President ready to clearly explain views on Annan Plan

Limassol, May 27 (CNA) - Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos has expressed the readiness of the Greek Cypriot side to explain fully and clearly to UN Under-Secretary General Sir Kieran Prendergast its views on the several aspects of the plan proposed by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan for a Cyprus settlement.

In statements tonight in Limassol, President Papadopoulos said that ''all this time we have made our deliberations, discussions and yes I think that we are in position to explain fully and with clarity our views on the several aspects of the plan.''
