DG of Irish Institution analyses Constitutional Treaty provisions

Nicosia, Mar 16 (CNA) -- The fact that the EU Constitutional Treaty was debated in public is important for its ratification by the member states, Director General of the Irish Institution for European Affairs Alan Dukes has said here today.

He also expressed the opinion that the best guarantee for smaller member states is the fact that the Treaty has not changed the provision for the European Commission to submit its proposals.
