Turkish FM in Britain to discuss Cyprus issue with Straw

London, Mar 13 (CNA) --- Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul will meet here Monday his British counterpart Jack Straw to discuss the Cyprus issue, Turkey's commitment to sign the protocol to its custom union agreement with the European Union, extending it to all ten new members including Cyprus, and other matters regarding Ankara's relations with the EU.

Opposition leader acknowledges urgent need for correct solution

Larnaca, Mar 13 (CNA) -- Nikos Anastasiades, leader of the main opposition Democratic Rally (DISI) party, has said that he shares the view expressed by Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos that the need to find a negotiated settlement must not override the substance of the solution.
