    Agreement on Green Line Regulation reached

    Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) -- The Cyprus government and an EU delegation led by Leopold Maurer, Head of the European Commission group for Cyprus, have reached an agreement as regards the EU Green Line regulation, according to which, goods produced in the occupied areas can be sold in the southern government-controlled part of the island and exported through legal ports of entry to the EU.

    Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) The Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP) met today and the Turkish Cypriot representative presented to his Greek Cypriot colleague a breakdown of the work carried out by the Turkish Cypriot investigative team, which has gathered substantial information on several burial places of persons listed as missing.

    Health Commissioner welcomes agreement on Green Line Regulation

    Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) Markos Kyprianou, Member of the European Commission responsible for Health and Consumer Protection, has said that EU experts who will carry out health inspections on Turkish Cypriot products crossing the Green Line, are to be appointed, noting that EU regulations apply to Turkish Cypriot products as well.

    12th International Education Fair to take place

    Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) --- A total of 180 exhibitors coming from 18 countries will participate in the 12th International Education Fair (IEF) that will open from 10-13 February in Nicosia.

    The foreign countries that will be represented at the IEF are Belgium, Britain, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Lebanon, Romania, Russia, the Slovak Republic, Spain, Switzerland and the USA.

    Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) Markos Kyprianou, Member of the European Commission responsible for Health and Consumer Protection, handed in person today to Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos the Commissions recommendations to resume the Lisbon Strategy process, which aims to make the European economy more competitive worldwide.
