    Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) --The European Commission and the Cypriot government reached here Thursday a preliminary agreement extending the Green Line regulation on trade between the two communities of the island, a press release issued by the Commission's Representation in Cyprus says.

    Cypriot government says new crossing point ready to open

    Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) - Cypriot Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides said today that the Astromeritis crossing point between the two sides on the island was ready to open and that the existing road would be used for commuting purposes, adding that the Greek Cypriot side would proceed with the de-mining of the area.

    Cyprus says Green Line Regulation adequate

    Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) - Cypriot Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides said today that the EU Green Line Regulation, to facilitate trade between the two sides on the island, has rendered any other regulation on trade useless.

    He also said the Green Line regulation can be implemented if the necessary good will on the part of the Turkish occupation regime is shown.
