    Brussels, Sep 15 (CNA) The lack of consensus on two European Union regulations relating to financial support for the Turkish Cypriots and direct trade between the Turkish occupied areas of Cyprus and the EU is due to the British stance on the matter, Cyprus Euro MP Ioannis Kasoulides has stated.

    Congressman introduces bill for US-owned property in occupied Cyprus

    New York, Sep 15 (CNA) US Congressman Frank Pallone introduced Tuesday bipartisan legislation that would allow US citizens who own property in the Turkish occupied areas of Cyprus to seek financial remedies with either the current inhabitants of their land or the Turkish government.

    The New Jersey Congressman is to be joined by members of Congress Michael Bilirakis and Carolyn Maloney, the co-chairs of the Congressional Caucus on Hellenic Issues, as original sponsors of this legislation.

    Larnaca, Sep 15 (CNA) Politicians, clergymen and laymen left Cyprus today for Cairo to attend the funeral of Cypriot born Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Petros VII, who was killed on Saturday along with another 16 persons when the helicopter they were on board crashed as it was approaching Mount Athos, in northern Greece.

    CMP agrees on organisation of forensic experts

    Nicosia, Sep 15 (CNA) - The Committee on Missing Persons agreed on the organisation of forensic experts to be approached to undertake the exhumation work of the missing persons.

    The decision was taken during a meeting of the CMP today at Ledra Palace, which also agreed on undertaking without delay the investigation of cases already submitted.
