    Nicosia, Sep 6 (CNA) -- The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 07/09/2004 to 09/09/2004

    On Tuesday fine with local cloud and risk of isolated showers over mountains in the afternoon but on Wednesday fine with patchy cloud. Winds will be light to moderate sea breezes and the state of sea slight to moderate.

    Maximum temperature: 36C inland, 32C over south coastal areas and 30C over west coastal areas.

    Minimum temperate: around 22C inland and over coastal areas.

    Outlook for Thursday and Friday: 09/09/2004 to 10/09/2004

    Mainly fine with patchy cloudy. No significant change in temperature is expected.

    Nicosia, Sep 6 (CNA) - If all goes well, the final decisions for the planning of the first technological park in Cyprus will begin by the end of 2005, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism George Lillikas told CNA on Monday, adding that the benefits from the part ''will have a massive impact on the economy'' of the island.

    Cypriot political parties call on leaders to intensify cooperation

    Nicosia, Sep 6 (CNA) - Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties called on Monday for the intensification of the cooperation of between the political leaders of the two communities in the direction of finding a solution to the Cyprus problem.

    In a joint communique issued after a meeting at the Ledra Palace, in the UN buffer zone, the leaders and representatives of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties said they ''exchanged views on the current situation of the Cyprus problem and called for the intensification of the cooperation of between the political leaders of the two communities''.

    Cypriot AG: ECHR's decision to affect fundamental rights of Europeans

    Nicosia, Sep 6 (CNA) -- Attorney General of the Republic of Cyprus Solon Nikitas expressed the belief that the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) would reaffirm its clear and principled case law and reject Turkey's attempt to persuade the Court to ''overturn, depart from or ignore its wellestablished jurisprudence''.

    Nikitas was speaking before the ECHR's hearing regarding Turkey's proposal to have a ''property commission'', in the Turkish occupied north of Cyprus, recognized as a legal tool to deal effectively with property claims by Greek Cypriots, who since the Turkish invasion in 1974 are deprived from their rights in the occupied areas.
