Rogge arrivew at Larnaca at 1655 local time (1355 GMT). He will be met at Larnaca airport by Education and Culture Minister Pefkios Georgiades, Cyprus Olympic Committee President and IOC member Kikis Lazarides, and Cyprus Sports Organisation Chairman Titos Christofides. The IOC presidents first stop will be the Presidential Palace where he will be received by President Tassos Papadopoulos. Tonight he will give a lecture on Olympic Challenges. He will then go to Boston to sign an agreement with the University of Harvard to set up an international research centre in Cyprus on environmental and public health issues. Announcing details of the presidential trip, Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides said Papadopoulos leaves Wednesday morning via London for Mexico for the EU summit which will deal with multi-party effective diplomacy and social coherence and cooperation between the EU and Latin America and the Caribean. On May 30, Papadopoulos will go to Boston to sign the agreement. While in Boston he will also give a lecture at Kennedy School of Government on the question of Cyprus and will meet academics from Harvard University. President Papadopoulos will then move on to New York where on the morning of the 3 June he will meet UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.
