OLYMPIC BULLETIN 2004

Nicosia, 4 Feb (CNA) -- CNA has secured the rights and offers its subscribers and other interested parties in Cyprus the ''Olympic Bulletin 2004'' by Athens News Agency.

The O.B. will be offered daily from February 15 to October 31, 2004 in Greek or in English. It will feature news on the Olympic and Paraolympic games in Athens, including the participation of Cyprus, as well as a wide range of other information and special topics such as mythology, political-economic-social issues and entertainment related to the hosting of the Games in Greece, together with many photographs.

It will be made available on line at a monthly subscription of 250 Cyprus pounds (plus VAT) payable in advance for at least one month. On receipt of the first payment, CNA will provide the subscriber the necessary passwords for access.

Kinnock to pay official visit to Cyprus

Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) -- Vice President of the European Commission Neil Kinnock arrives here today for a two-day official visit.

Kinnock will be received tomorrow morning at 0900 local time by Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos.

At 1000 he will have a meeting with Foreign Minister Georgios Iacovou and at 1100 with Finance Minister Marcos Kyprianou.

Germany wishes for real progress on Cyprus issue until May

Nicosia, Feb 4 (CNA) -- President of the German Bundestag, Wolfgang Thierse, stressed here today that Germany and the rest of Europe, wish to see real progress being made on the Cyprus issue, until 1st of May 2004, when the island officially joins the EU.

United Nations, Feb 4 (CNA) UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan announced here Wednesday that he will announce in the next day or so the date for the resumption of the UN led talks for a Cyprus settlement.
