    Nicosia, Sep 15 (CNA) Cypriot President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos held today a three - minute teleconference with Prime Minister of Greece Costas Simitis, via the Greek Cypriots Hellas Sat satellite, on the occasion of the satellites operation.

    Director of President Papadopoulos Press Office, Marios Karoyan told CNA that the conversation between Papadopoulos and Simitis, which lasted about three minutes, was very warm and friendly.

    Larnaca, Sep 15 (CNA) The Anan peace plan needs amendments in order to become more functional and viable and this is generally accepted, President of the Republic Tassos Papadopoulos stated here Monday on his departure to the Greek capital.

    In Athens, President Papadopoulos will hold talks with Greek Prime Minister Costas Simitis and his aides and will meet with President of Greek Republic Costis Stephanopoulos, President of the Greek Parliament Apostolos Kaklamanis and leader of the opposition New Democracy Party Costas Karamanlis.
