AHI General Counsel calls for US action for just solution in Cyprus
Nicosia, Aug 16 (CNA) - American Hellenic Institute's (AHI) General
Counsel Gene Rossides urged the US to take action to achieve a just and
viable solution to the Cyprus problem based on democratic norms and the
rule of law.
In a letter to Secretary of State Colin Powell with the completion of
29 years from the Turkish invasion in Cyprus, Rossides stated that
''the United States bears a responsibility to redress the situation in
Cyprus and it is in its interests to do so''.
