The wailing of sirens will be heard, once again, at 5.30 local time, the very time when the Turkish invasion was launched 29 years ago. Flags will fly at half-mast while church bells will toll midday mournfully for 15 minutes in every single church. President Papadopoulos will lay a wreath at the Makedonitissa Tomb, where soldiers killed during the invasion were buried. An official delegation from Greece will also attend the ceremony.
