Lord Hannay to visit Greece and Cyprus

London, Nov 15 (CNA) British envoy for Cyprus, Lord David Hannay, will visit Greece and Cyprus next week.

[02] KISOS leader meets Baykal

Nicosia, Nov 15 (CNA) Social Democrats Movement leader and presidential candidate, Yiannakis Omirou said Turkish Social Democrat leader, Deniz Baykal told him he looks forward to positive developments in efforts for a Cyprus settlement.

In statements to CNA, Omirou said the two met on the sidelines of the European Socialist Party meeting in Warsaw and that he told Baykal we expect a positive response by the Turkish government and to exert influence over Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash for an overall positive approach in efforts to solve the Cyprus problem.
