Nicosia, Oct 24 (CNA) -- The Cyprus government looks forward to working with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Finance Minister Takis Klerides said here tonight, after meeting a visiting delegation of the Fund.

Government makes representations to UN over Turkish forces moves at Strovilia

Nicosia, Oct 24 (CNA) The government is closely monitoring the Turkish forces moves in the south-eastern area of Strovilia and Achna and is making all necessary representations at the UN but it does not intend to serve the Turkish Armys aims by exaggerating the issue, said Defence Minister Socrates Hasikos.

The minister remarked that there has been a violation of the status quo in the area with the relocation of barbed wire, which are only three metres from the road.
