UN resolutions binding in every case, says Austrian Speaker
Nicosia, Oct 17 (CNA) Visiting President of the Austrian National
Council Heinz Fischer said Security Council resolutions are relevant
and binding in every case and every country, adding that he does not
share the view that all countries are equal but some are more equal
than others.
Speaking after meeting his Cypriot counterpart, Demetris Christofias,
Fischer said Austria considers the application of Cyprus to join the
European Union positive, noting that it is necessary and justified for
Cyprus to join the EU.
