President: We are facing a deadlock at peace talks
Nicosia, Jun 24 (CNA) -- President Glafcos Clerides has said the UN-led
peace talks are facing a deadlock and warned that unless practical
solutions on the four core issues (governance, security, territory and
property) are found, there will be no settlement.
The President also said that the European Union considers that the
Greek Cypriot side maintains a constructive approach at the talks and
expects the Turkish Cypriot side to work for a solution within the
parameters of the UN decisions in a conciliatory manner.
