President of the European Council calls on Turkey to comply with EU criteria

Constantinople, Feb 12 (CNA) - Spanish Foreign Minister and current president of the European Council Josep Pique I Camps has said the EU wants to be successful with different things in its negotiations both with Cyprus and Turkey, and called on Ankara not only to introduce changes in its legislation and constitution but also to accomplish the political and economic criteria on the ground.

Cyprus and Greece protested to the EU presidency

Constantinople, Feb 12 (CNA) - Cyprus and Greece have protested to the EU presidency Spain and the host of the joint forum of the EU and the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) about a reference to a Turkish Cypriot as "foreign minister" in a list of heads of delegations participating in the two-day meeting, which ends tomorrow.
