President Clerides does not accept Defence Minister's resignation
Nicosia, Jan 29 (CNA) -- Cyprus Defence Minister Socratis Hasikos today
submitted his resignation in writing to President Glafcos Clerides, but
the latter did not accept it.
President Clerides said yesterday that he would not accept any
resignation from Hasikos, who made it clear that his resignation was
the result of an arms robbery from a National Guard post. He said he
took full political responsibility for the theft.
