Clinton regrets not being able to persuade for a solution in Cyprus

New York, Jan 27 (CNA) -- Former US President Bill Clinton has expressed regret for not being able to persuade the parties in question to solve the Cyprus problem.

Speaking yesterday to a Greek American audience in New York, Clinton said he has had few regrets about his service as US President, adding that one of which is that he "could never persuade the parties in question to solve the problem of Cyprus."

Nicosia Jan 27 (CNA)-- Cyprus national basketball team yesterday was defeated with 63-93 by the national team of Skopje in the semi final round for the 2003 Men's European Basketball Championship.
