[04] Cyprus - FM - Graves - Identity
Nicosia, Jun 19 (CNA) -- Cyprus' Foreign Ministry said here today there was
a serious possibility that remains of victims of Turkey's invasion of the
island in 1974 might have been taken to Greece and were not of the
individuals they had been initially thought to be.
According to a written reply to journalists' questions issued today by the
Foreign Ministry "the necessary steps are being taken so that if remains of
Cypriots were moved and handed to families in Greece, they are located and
returned to Cyprus for examination."
