He added that direct and indirect commercial transactions between the two countries reached 250 million dollars last year.Speaking after a meeting with Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Nicos Rolandis, Shariatmadari noted that there is much potential for bilateral cooperation in the fields of tourism and banking, while on his part Rolandis said that Iran consistently supports a solution to the Cyprus problem based on the relevant UN resolutions. CNA/RM/MA/2001 ENDS, CYPRUS NEWS AGENCY2015: CYPPRESS:04[04] Cyprus Telecommunications Authority - OTENicosia, May 18 (CNA) – The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA) and the Telecommunications Organisation of Greece (OTE) today signed a memorandum of cooperation providing for the establishment of a joint company that will take advantage of underwater cables, mainly in the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as technical aid to CYTA in view of the government aim to turn it into a public company.The agreement was signed in Athens today by the Presidents of the two organisations, in the presence of the Cypriot and Greek ministers responsible Averof Neophytou and Christos Varelis, respectively, who underlined the new role CYTA and OTE could have by joining forces.
