    [01] President - Easter message

    Embargoed until 1900 (1600 GMT), Saturday 14th April Nicosia, Apr 13 (CNA) - - President Glafcos Clerides has sent a message of endurance and hope that the resurrection of Christ will bring the much awaited resurrection of Cyprus through a peaceful settlement of the political question, that will end the continuing Turkish occupation of part of the island.

    The President also said Cyprus and Greece will continue to work towards this goal and expressed gratitude to Athens for its unwavering support for the struggle of the people of Cyprus for justice and freedom.

    [02] International meeting - Crime

    Nicosia, Apr 13 (CNA) -- Cyprus will host a two-day international conference on crime and ways to combat it with a view to outline a true picture of criminal activity on the island, in comparison with other countries.

    The meeting, to be opened by Justice and Public Order Minister Nicos Koshis, will be attended by more than 100 delegates, criminologists and other experts from Britain, Greece, Malta and Cyprus.
