[01] Cyprus Foreign Minister - US - Meetings
Washington, Apr 4 (CNA) - Cyprus Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides began
his meetings in the US capital today briefing American officials on the
Cyprus question and the Republic's European Union membership prospects and
discussing other issues of bilateral interest.
Kasoulides will meet both Democrat and Republican senators and
congresspersons and will also brief American journalists on issues of
specific interest to Cyprus.

March - Weather report
Nicosia, Apr 4 (CNA) - March was the third driest month in Cyprus and the
warmest March in the last 100 years, with temperatures some 3 degrees
centigrade higher than usual, according to the monthly weather report of
the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment.
No rainfall was recorded in most areas of the western part of the island
during the whole month, while significant rainfall was recorded in isolated
parts of the central and western Mesaoria plain.
