[01] Cyprus Foreign Minister - UN report - Belgrade

Larnaca, Mar 28 (CNA) - Cyprus Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides has expressed satisfaction with the terminology used in a UN report on human rights in Cyprus that was revised after government protests demanding that the status of the parties involved is rectified, but expressed dissatisfaction with the report content.

Speaking on his departure today for a visit to Yugoslavia, Kasoulides sent a message to the UN that the government would not accept anything that may diminish the status of the Cyprus Republic or upgrade the illegal regime in the Turkish-occupied part of Cyprus.
