    [02] Weather forecast for Cyprus

    Íicosia, Dec 21 (CNA) - The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

    Friday and Saturday: 22/12/2000 to 23/12/2000

    The weather on Friday will be generally fine with local clouds at times. On Saturday, the weather will be unstable with local showers or thurderstorms and snow over Troodos.

    On Friday, winds will be variable, light, over slight seas. Winds on Saturday will be southwesterly, moderate, over moderate seas.

    Maximum temperatures will be 15C inland and around 17C along the coast, and minimum temperatures 5C inland and around 7C along the coast.

    Outlook for Sunday and Monday: 24/12/2000 to 25/12/2000

    The weather on Sunday will be unstable, with showers or thurderstorms and snow over Troodos. Fine weather is expected on Monday, with temperatures dropping by a couple of degrees.

    Sea temperature: 17C
