Nicosia, Dec 13(CNA) -- A vessel returning to Cyprus from Lebanon, where it
had taken 47 illegal immigrants deported from the island, sank in the early
hours today, some 60 nautical miles from Larnaca.
All nine members of the vessel "Royal Prince" were rescued by helicopters
of the Cyprus Police and the British Bases, a police spokesman told CNA.

Nicosia, Dec 13(CNA) -- A 40-year-old Greek Cypriot was abducted by the
Turkish occupation forces today, when he went to the area of Pergamos, in
the south-east of Cyprus, to pick up Turkish Cypriots who work on his
construction sites.
The illegal "police" in the areas of Cyprus occupied by Turkey since its
invasion of the island in 1974 claimed that Panicos Tziakourmas was
"abducted after drugs were found on him".
