[02] Cyprus - Gambia - Diplomatic relations

The protocol was signed at the Cyprus Mission in New York, by the Republic's permanent representative to the UN Sotos Zackheos and his Gambian colleague Baboucarr-Blaise Ismaila Jagne, according to an official announcement issued today.

Speaking at the signing ceremony last Friday, both ambassadors underlined the need for the further development of bilateral relations.

The Gambian permanent representative expressed his country's wish to learn from the Cyprus experience in the tourism and trade fields, as well as the fields of business management and merchant shipping.
