[02] Foreign Minister - Solana
Nicosia, Dec 6 (CNA) -- Cyprus' Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides met
today in Brussels with Secretary General of the Council of the European
Union and High Representative of Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana.
According to an official press release, Kasoulides briefed the EU official
on the latest developments on the Cyprus question including the recent
statements made by Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash who threatened to
withdraw from UN- led proximity talks unless his puppet regime is
recognised.

[03] Cyprus – Mad Cow Disease - EU
Nicosia, Dec 6 (CNA) – Cyprus will adopt European Union decisions relating
to measures to curb mad cow disease (BSE), Agriculture, Natural Resources
and the Environment Minister Costas Themistocleous announced here today.
He said as of January next year it will ban adding meat and bone meal to
animal feed for a period of six months and announced that genetically
modified soya and corn can be used to feed animals.
