    [02] Cyprus Stock Exchange - New premises

    Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) - The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) will be moving premises over the next few days and trading will be put off tomorrow until November 22, for technical reasons.

    Trading will resume again on November 23, when all servers and computer systems are back on line and have been tested. CNA/RG/MM/2000

    [04] Interior Minister - Illegal immigrants

    Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) - Interior Minister, Christodoulos Christodoulou, said today that over the past few months there has been an increased influx of illegal immigrants to Cyprus, mainly from Middle East countries.

    He said the problem has been causing concern to Cyprus authorities and that a meeting has already been scheduled for senior officers, in the presence of President Glafcos Clerides and Ministers, to examine all aspects of the matter and take further measures, to prevent illegal immigrants disembarking and to deport those who make it to the shores of the island.     [05] AKEL - KKE - Turkey - Meeting - Visas

    Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) - The Turkish government has refused to issue visas for members of a left-wing AKEL delegation, which was to participate in a Greek, Turkish and Cypriot left-wing political party meeting in Constantinople, to take place today and tomorrow.

    AKEL's mouthpiece, daily "Haravgi", today wrote that the Greek Communist Party (KKE) would not attend the meeting, in protest to the action of the Turkish authorities and in solidarity with the people of Cyprus in their struggle for justice. CNA/RG/MM/2000

    [06] Cypriot delegation - India - Joint Indo-Cyprus Committee

    Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) - A Cypriot delegation departed today for India, to participate in the fourth session of the Joint Indo-Cyprus Intergovernmental Committee, which operates within the context of the Agreement for Economic, Commercial, Scientific, Technical and Industrial Cooperation, signed on April 13, 1989.

    After the works of the Committee, which will review cooperation so far between the two countries in various sectors and will examine ways to further strengthen bilateral ties, a Protocol will be signed, on ways to promote cooperation. CNA/RG/MM/2000

    [07] Belgian Senate – Cyprus - Resolution

    Nicosia, Nov 17 (CNA) - The plenary of the Belgian Senate has called on Turkey to comply with UN resolutions on Cyprus and withdraw its troops from the island and to encourage the Turkish Cypriot side to be more engaged in substantive negotiations for a solution of the protracted Cyprus question.

    The Senate, in its resolution adopted unanimously by the 55 Senators present at the plenary, expressed support for the wish of the government of Cyprus to find a settlement on the basis of UN resolutions and backs the Republic's efforts to join the European Union (EU).
