Nicosia, Oct 18 (CNA) - House of Representatives President Spyros Kyprianou
today discussed the present course of the UN effort for a settlement in
Cyprus with British High Commissioner in Nicosia Edward Clay.
Clay told reporters he called on the House President in view of his
decision to hand over the leadership of the centre-right party DIKO he
founded in the 1970s and his announcement that he will not contest the next
parliamentary elections.
