Interior Minister, Christodoulos Christodoulou, said today that statements from some of the immigrants appear to identify the captain as Ibrahim Muhammad Farrah from Turkey, who was found hiding in the hold of the boat on which the illegal immigrants are now being guarded.Speaking after a meeting with the Lebanese delegation investigating whether the boat, which sank of the coast of Paphos on September 13, actually left from Al Uzai harbour in Lebanon on September 11, in which case the illegal immigrants would be sent back there, as provided for in a bilateral agreement, Christodoulou said the captain would be taken before the Paphos District Court on the charge of illegal entry into the Republic of Cyprus.
