[01] Education Minister - EU meeting
Nicosia, Jun 18 (CNA) -- Education and Culture Minister Ouranios Ioannides
leaves today for Bucharest to participate in a meeting of education
ministers from the European Union and candidate countries.
The meeting, to discuss ways to strengthen the common European home for
education, takes place from 18-20 June and is expected to be attended by
160 delegates from all over Europe.

Nicosia, Jun 18 (CNA) -- Cypriot deputy Takis Hadjidemetriou leaves for
Paris Monday to participate in a meeting of the Committee on Agriculture,
Rural Development and Food of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of
Europe.
Hadjidemetriou will present his report on "the shortage of water resources
and agriculture" to the Tuesday meeting, which will also deal with
biotechnology, environmental issues and the policy on the production of
agricultural produce in the Mediterranean.
