[01] Spokesman - Turkish Cypriot leader

Nicosia, Apr 25 (CNA) -- The Cyprus government believes that calls by the Turkish Cypriot side to exert pressure on the Greek Cypriot side at the UN peace talks find no response in foreign mediators trying to help the peace process.

"The Greek Cypriot side operates within the framework of UN Security Council resolutions and the G8 call for comprehensive negotiations," Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou said at his daily press briefing.
