    Nicosia, Mar 30 (CNA) -- According to the Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport, the weather forecast for Cyprus is:

    Friday and Saturday: 31/03/2000 to 01/04/2000

    Weather: Fine and Sunny. Wind: Variable light at night, light breezes in the afternoon. Temperature: Maximum (22-24)C, minimum (10-12) C.

    Outlook for Sunday and Monday: 02/04/2000 to 03/04/2000

    Continuing fine with now significant change in temperature.

    Sea temperature: 18C

    [02] EU candidate countries - Meeting - Paphos

    Paphos, Mar 30 (CNA) - The chief negotiators for European Union accession of the six candidate countries included in the first wave, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia, began a meeting today in the coastal town of Paphos.

    Cyprus' chief negotiator, George Vassiliou, said that the island is in the lead regarding the general procedure and preparation for the chapters and documents, but lags behind in implementing its commitments.
