Sunny periods turning in showery and windy ones occasionally with snowfall over the hills. The temperature fluctuating between 5C (min) and 16C (max). Outlook for Thursday and Friday: 02/03/2000 to 03/03/2000 Continuing rather unstable and cold weather for the season.     Nicosia, Feb 28 (CNA) - Cyprus and Slovenia's accession course to join the European Union was at the centre of Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek's talks here today with Deputy President of the House of Representatives Nicos Anastasiades and Cyprus' EU chief negotiator George Vassiliou. Vassiliou said all six countries that are in the first wave of states that opened accession in 1998 agree that they should join the EU in January 2003.

    Nicosia, Feb 28 (CNA) - Cyprus' and Slovenia's course for accession to the European Union were the centre of discussions Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Dronovsek had here, during his two-day official visit to the island. Speaking at a press conference today, Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou and the Slovenian Premier referred to the close relations between the two countries and their common goal for EU accession.
