    [04] Spokesman - Cyprus issue - Demirel

Nicosia, Feb 15 (CNA) -- The Cyprus government believes that UN Secretary- General's Special Adviser for Cyprus Alvaro de Soto has to see the reality of the situation in Cyprus and get to know on site the unacceptable division of the island.

The government does not see this visit linked to any other visits here by representatives of foreign countries between now and the beginning of the third round of UN-led proximity talks.
