[02] New Yugoslavian Ambassador - Credentials
Nicosia, Jan 13 (CNA) -- Yugoslavia's strong support to Cyprus' efforts for
a just solution to its political problem through comprehensive negotiations
under the guidance of the UN was stressed by the country's new Ambassador
to the island.
Presenting his credentials to President Glafcos Clerides as Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
Pero Jancovic also noted Cyprus' support to his country in times of
hardship.

[03] Papandreou - Cook
London, Jan 13 (CNA) -- Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou and his
British counterpart Robin Cook expressed today their satisfaction for the
Helsinki European Union Summit conclusions, pointing out that they were a
great step forward towards resolving some of the long-standing tensions in
the region.
Papandreou also said that Cook reaffirmed British support to a federal
solution of the Cyprus problem.
